INVITATION: EHMA Webinar on Hospitals & COVID-19
It’s time for webinars! Join us for the third instalment of our webinar series, “Hospitals & COVID-19: Where are we succeeding and failing?“, to discuss what hospitals are doing to manage the outbreak and how they are interacting with all health systems stakeholders.
The webinar will take place via Zoom on Wednesday, May 6, at 12.30 PM Brussels time.
The COVID-19 outbreak exposed some central vulnerabilities in our health systems. Across all Europe, hospitals are forced to reorganize their internal structure, turning most areas into COVID wings. They are figuring out how to distribute available rooms or beds, staff, and equipment to ensure all patients get care. A critical shortage of basic personal protective equipment, combined with the increased influx of patients arriving at a frenetic pace, is now overwhelming the capacity of hospitals and exposing frontline health workers to a greater risk of infection.
Hospitals and healthcare managers must take necessary steps to ensure the safety of their staff, patients and the wider community.
What are the priorities in dealing with this emergency from a hospital management perspective? How are hospitals interacting with all the actors to ensure essential medical care to their community?
COVID-19: From viral to containment – A webinar Series
In response to the current COVID-19 pandemic, EHMA is producing a new webinar series, “COVID-19: From viral to containment”, on health management and the COVID-19 emergency.
Our aim is to bring together all the stakeholders involved in health management to tackle some of the most important issues related to this global crisis. Topics will include management of primary care during the outbreak, recommendations for hospitals on outbreak control, internal procurement, and more.
We will update the list of webinars with more information on the titles and the themes on our website here in the coming weeks. You can also contact the EHMA Secretariat at chiara.gonzi@ehma.org
